Carter SB and Fitness for a Cure Team Up!

Carter SB recently had the honor of donating a couple of skateboards to “Fitness for a Cure” who host a silent auction which benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Over the last 20 years, the St. Jude Performance Team and Fitness for a Cure have raised over $4.6 million for the kids and families at St. Jude. The event was created in 1999 by Sherri Sarrouf (who owns SLS Fitness in the Lowell, MA area) when she decided to create more awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Sherri put together a team of fitness professionals and dance performers to entertain at the event. The message being that “Those that are strong in mind and body and in good health should give back to the sick and less fortunate”. We here at Carter SB couldn’t agree more and were excited to donate some kid-sized skateboards to help raise money for such a great cause.

The event was held on March 16th, 2019, in Lowell, Massachusetts, and the Performance team consists of 15 adults, 100 local children, all of whom generously donate their time and energy. The evening was a total success, having raised over $605,000 ($60,000 more than last year!) to make sure no family will ever receive a bill for treatment, housing, or food while at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
