We use 7 sheets of high-quality Canadian maple. This makes for a lightwight deck, with great pop! Plastic/Cheap skateboards aren't easy to ride. They don't have the curves needed for tricks, and are difficult to steer.
DURABILITY
Our decks are stained so you can still see the woodgrain. We have a TOP SECRET method for graphics application and top coat. Most boards get a layer of plastic, shrink-wrapped, that comes off easily when scratched.
